"Harer Nama Harer Nama Harer Namaiva Kevalam Kalau Nasty Eva Nasti Eva Nasti Eva Gatir Anyatha."
"In this age of Kali, there is no otherway, there is no otherway, there is no otherway for spiritual progress other than the chanting of the holy name, the chanting of the holy name, the chanting of the holy name of the Lord."
The verse above is the heart of our beautiful movement and performing Maha Mantra Kirtan is the heartbeat, so to take heat of this message and to remember His Grace Aindra Prabhbu (The emperor of 24 Hour Kirtan) we are happy to present Mayapur New Years Eve 24 Hour Kirtan. What can be better than to start the new year with Hare Krsna Kirtan in the birth place of Kirtan...Shri Dham Mayapur.
The mercy of Sridham Mayapur is incalculable and is as unlimited as the personality of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who appeared there. This mercy is distinctly palpable, you can feel it, you can breathe it and fully submerge yourself in it - there is no one more fortunate in this world than a person who has been blessed with the opportunity to be a pilgrim to this most holy of holy dhamas. Srila Prabhupada wanted his followers to enter Sridham Mayapur for enlivenment, empowerment, and purification. He assured us that hearing and chanting, associating with devotees, taking prasadam, and worshipping the deities in the sanctity of Sridham Mayapur, will stimulate deep Krishna conscious realisations, that will remain with us for the rest of our lives.
So this is your opportunity to attend a momentous festival that will stay with you for the rest of your life, this event has generated interests from around the world which include guests such as Mahatama Das, The famous Mayapuris, Naru Gopal Das and many many more...it is definitely an event not to be missed.
We have an innovative format for this momentous occasion, which is as follows:
The 24 hour Kirtan will start at 1pm on Friday the 31st December 2010 in Panca Tattva temple and then at 9pm we will be on the move with a Maha Harinaam Sankirtan around the complex to Srila Prabhupada’s Bhajan Kutir (which will have log fires as they did in the early 70’s) then in the morning at 9am we will be on the move again with another Maha Harinaam Sankirtan back to Panchattava temple where the festival will carry on til 1pm.
